For weeks now we had random ladybirds showing up in the house. So I decided to take pictures of all the different types. Well, I don't know if they really are different types or if the colouring of the wings just varies, like the hair and skin colours of humans do ...but anyway, they do come with different looks, as you can see on the picture. The orangy one has clear defined black dots, while the redder one only has hints of them.
I now have a camera with a proper macro lens ready for this project to get better pictures ... and of course since then, not a single bug has made an appearance. It's the cosmic law that keeps the number of good pictures from reaching a critical mass, I'm sure.
I'm more or less off for a couple of days now and then I'll probably return to that photoblog idea to spare my f-listers from more "look! bugs!" entries ;-)
