One word: weather!!
We've gone from unpredictable and rainy and not really warm to hot as hell within a day. I was happy that I had an early start this morning and therefore more time to enjoy the sun and possibly go swimming, but now I'm hiding in a dark room, because this is what it's like outside:

Yes, 37°C!!!! For the Fahrenheit people, that's close to 100°F.

am i allowed to say i don't mind 37? even with the humidity we face down here, most australians won't complain until 42 (but 42 starts to get quite scary)

i was outside during a massive heatwave once, waiting for a bus to go to the Tennis (Grand Slam event, couldn't be missed!) and it was around 45 or so, and my converse shoes (you know, rubber bottoms) were melting and warping...and the sunscreen i had put on my legs before going outside was changing composition while on my skin and was developing into a white filmy and melty goo

i think i'm just reminiscing because i've been so cold lately i can't remember what heat feels like (and i'm home sick with a cold, too)

But ... but ... I'm a soft North European and I'm not used to so much heat *lol*

I experience the opposite effect with my shoes once. I was on Malta, wearing flip-flops and the heat made the asphalt melt and it was sticking to my shoes. I left black prints on the boat and I still have pieces of Valletta on my soles.

I hope you feel better soon *sends some heat*
