Does Pinterest have a privacy setting? I'm using this to organize certain bookmarks, because it's a lot easier to keep track of things when there's a picture to go with every bookmark ... but I don't really need the Facebook crowd descending on these things with their "Likes". It's mostly DIY stuff and some recipes and none of that stuff is even written by me. So the whole "like" thing is pretty pointless, plus, people stalking my bookmarked sonic screwdriver mods and cookie recipes ... bit weird.

Today, I was randomly reminded of one of the smells I really hate - fabric softener. I was in primary school with some kid who reeked of the stuff and it wasn't only his clothes that smelled but also his backpack, books and other stuff. And when I was invited to his birthday party I found out that his whole house had that sweet artificial smell too. Today I got two shirts back that a friend had borrowed and they had a hint of that smell and I tossed them in the wash right away. It's a shame really, because they were properly ironed and everything, but that smell makes me gag.

On other news ... I noticed that nowadays quite a few people rather watch a concert through the tiny screen of their phone or camera instead of just enjoying the show. And I had three BBQs planned and cancelled, because the weather is more than a little unpredictable. We finally managed to have one last weekend but it rained on the stuff we had left on the terrace afterwards and it was a huge mess the next day.

comments
