The highest court in Germany (I think it would be something like a constitutional court in English ...) has recently ruled that there is no reason why people in same sex marriages should be taxed differently than people in straight marriages. I'll spare you the boring details, but what it basically means is, that in some cases one could save quite a bit of money on income taxes by getting married and this applies to same sex couples now too.

So we have received some subtle and some not so subtle hints about getting married. No plans though ;-)
