I've been a bit absent, because me, updating with bronchitis, a running nose, a headache and various other extras you get with a bad cold isn't the best of ideas, since these things always put me in a bad mood ... and I don't want to write nasty stuff like, say, insult Waterloo Road voters. But my health is getting better and I actually had a real meal today.

Other than feeling sorry for myself I was busy catching up on TV and I started to read Fight Club (hence the subject). I was surprised how much it is like the film and then I was surprised that I am surprised by this.

I mean, it should be normal that a film or TV show based on a book resembles the book ... but it totally isn't. There are so many cases where a script writer practically re-wrote the whole book and I always wonder why they bothered with buying the rights for the book in the first place. If they just used different names and a different titled and chanced a couple more things they could pass it off as an original script. Well, maybe not original as in unique, but original enough to avoid getting sued.

Anyway, what's everyone up to? Australians fighting water and storm, Americans fighting snow, Africans fighting their presidents?
